Advocacy Within the Hour
A nurse advocate can translate medical terminology to make everything clear to you and your child during what can be an emotional, painful, and frightening situation. Your child’s Heartology nurse will be by their side within an hour of an emergency department visit.

Safe, Expedited Care
Since you and your student provide Heartology with a medical history, your nurse advocate can quickly and efficiently communicate critical information to ER staff. Your child’s nurse advocate knows how to convey urgency and ensure timely treatment.

Clear Communication in a Crisis
If your child is over 18 and does not specifically request their medical team communicate with you, the doctor may not contact you. Heartology has a process in place to ask the right questions and ensure you are informed of and involved in your child’s care.

Born and raised in Upstate New York, Kimberly Krusinski graduated pre-med from the University of Miami in Florida, then went on to earn her nursing degree in Colorado. As a hospital nurse and now a Board Certified Patient Advocate, Kimberly has provided goal-directed care for college students for over twenty years, ensuring students and families are informed, safe, and supported throughout their healthcare experience.
